Knowledgeable of all aspects of imaging equipment and imaging documentation software, including PACS/RIS. Acquires thorough understanding of imaging equipment and imaging documentation software, including PACS and DICOM. Operates radiologic or magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body. Utilize digital fluoroscopy for biopsies, aspirations and drainages. Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff. Positions imaging equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
